Palo Verde Chapter

The Palo Verde Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution was chartered on January 11, 1969.  We serve the East Valley Communities of Ahwatukee, Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Sun Lakes, Tempe, and the southern portion of Scottsdale.

All SAR members, spouses, prospective members and guests are welcome to attend our chapter meetings.  Meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month at 8:30 AM (unless otherwise indicated on the Calendar Page) at the Dobson's Restaurant, located at 2155 S. Dobson Road in Mesa, Arizona, about two blocks south of Baseline Road.  We have interesting speakers each month on varied topics.

To make reservations, email Secretary/Treasurer Art Cantrall.

Our activities include awarding individuals and groups for outstanding community services, such as the Fire Safety Awards in September, Law Enforcement Awards in October, and JROTC and ROTC awards in April or May.  Our Palo Verde Chapter's 2005 outstanding cadet, Michael Calkins, also won the outstanding JROTC Cadet national award of a golden medallion and $1,000. at the July 2005 SAR National Society Convention.
