29 April 2017 Board of Managers Meeting at the Holiday Inn Casa Grande

 

The Arizona SAR, President Steve Monez presiding, held a meeting and luncheon at the Casa Grande Holiday Inn on Saturday 29 April 2017. Business feature of the meeting was the approval of sending dues responsibility back to the Chapters. Awards and recognitions were given as shown in the pictures below.

11 February 2017 Board of Managers Meeting at The Property, Casa Grande

 

The February AZ SAR Board meeting/Luncheon and Installation of Officers was held on 11 February 2017 at The Property in Casa Grande which was well attended by Tucson Chapter members. Tom Sorensen, who was not in attendance, was designated the Compliance Officer at the installation ceremony. The State President's gavel was passed on from Steve Miller to Steve Monez.

12 November 2016 Board of Managers Meeting at the Hilton Phoenix/Chandler Hotel

 

The AZ SAR gave a warm welcome to President General J. Michael Tomme, Sr. and his wife, Cilla Leed Tomme at it's Fall Board Meeting and Banquet on Saturday 12 November 2016 at the Hilton Phoenix/Chandler Hotel.   The President General gave talks to the Board Meeting and later, after an introducing bio by State President Stephen J. Miller, to the Banquet attendees.   Numerous awards and certificates of recognition were given at the board meeting and the Banquet.   The Banquet was also honored by a talk by Children of the American Revolution President Gillian Alexander.   In closing, State President Miller gave PG Tomme a gift of a bola tie and Nancy Alter gave a gift of a necklace to Cilla Tomme.   The Arizona Society Color Guard opened and closed the Board meeting and the Banquet.

23 April 2016 Board of Managers Meeting at the Hilton Phoenix/Chandler Hotel

 

The Arizona Society, SAR, conducted a board meeting and solemn Memorial Service at the at the Hilton Phoenix/Chandler Hotel on 23 April 2016.  Also featured on this day was a special talk given by several of our country's forefathers to C.A.R. members Brandon & Seth Nevers, Abigail Nevers and Gillian & Tricia Alexander.  JROTC Cadet Major Sydney Graybill was honored with an Outstanding JROTC Medal and Certificate by sponsoring Palo Verde Chapter member James Skaggs and State President Steve Miller.  Brochure contest winners Seth Nevers (1st Place) and Abigal Nevers (2nd Place) were given awards.  GW certificates were awarded to Dr. Gary Pettett, Steve Monez and Edmund Karr with certificates yet to be given to Bill Aurand, George Stickney and Dennis Kavanaugh.  A great meeting was capped off with the esteemed Kilt Lifter Award given to Past State President George Lipphardt by President Steve Miller.  Way to go George!
